My name is Michael Brown.I am a garden historian, freelance lecturer, researcher and horticulturist. I researched, designed and created the largest authentic medieval garden in Europe at the Prebendal Manor, Nassington, Northamptonshire, UK.
The garden is included in 'The Good Garden Guide'. It has also been featured on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour, and Alan Titchmarsh's 'Royal Gardeners'. In his book of the same name Alan said that, 'Prebendal Manor is a stunning example of a reconstructed medieval garden.'
Alan also borrowed my tools to make a Tudor garden plot at Hampton Court, although this did not appear in the programme.
I am a lecturer, giving talks on garden History and general horticultural subjects. these are suitable for Garden Clubs, Historical Societies, Museum, Galleries and Luncheon groups.
